Every Child
Deserves
Strong Roots.
New Roots ABA provides individualized, compassionate ABA therapy for children with autism, ages 18 months to 18 years. We nurture growth for your child and your whole family, every step of the way.
What makes us different
Most ABA providers have BCBAs checking in on your child once a week. At New Roots, Amanda is there every day: hands-on, present, and actively guiding sessions. We built this practice because Long Island families deserve a model where the expert is actually in the room.
At most practices, families only see their BCBA once a week. At New Roots, your BCBA is present every single day: actively involved in sessions, providing hands-on support in real time. That is the difference.
No generic treatment plans. Your child's program is built around their specific strengths and goals, explained in plain language so you always know what's happening and why.
We don't just include families. We center them. Parent training is built into every program so the skills your child learns get practiced at home too.
Our philosophy is rooted in cultural and interprofessional humility. We collaborate with every provider involved in your child's care.
Founded on Long Island to fill a real gap. We're small by design so every family receives the focused attention they deserve.
We accept BCBS, Aetna, Molina, MVP, Fidelis, NYSHIP, Cigna, and EmblemHealth. We verify your benefits so you know what's covered before anything starts.

This work is a calling,
not just a career.
New Roots ABA was founded on a belief that shows up in the small things as much as the big ones: the families walking through our door are not a caseload. They are people who need someone who will listen first, collaborate with everyone already in their child's corner, and never put credentials above the human relationship.
We call this servant leadership, and it shapes everything from how we design a treatment plan to how we answer the phone. Before we write a single goal, we take the time to understand what matters most to your family. We work alongside every other provider involved in your child's care. We ask more questions than we answer, at least at the start.
Because the best ABA therapy isn't just clinically sound. It's genuinely caring about the people it serves.
New roots can always grow with the right time, attention, and care. That's the heart of our name. It's our promise to every child and family we work with.
We are intentional about serving families of color, who face real disparities in accessing timely autism diagnoses and services. Every child deserves care. No exceptions.
Success is taking your child to a restaurant. It's watching them walk across a graduation stage. We measure what matters to your family, not just what's easy to chart.
That conviction shapes how we treat every family: with patience, humility, and a standard of care we are proud of.

Making care accessible for your family
Most ABA services at New Roots ABA are covered by insurance at no additional cost to you. We work directly with your insurer to verify benefits and handle the authorization process so your family can focus on what matters. For families who prefer flexibility or whose services fall outside insurance coverage, private pay options are available for parent coaching, school consultations, social skills groups, and telehealth.
Care that fits your family
Whether your child needs one-on-one therapy, your family needs strategies for home, or your teenager needs a community, we have a place for you.
Applied Behavior Analysis is an evidence-based approach that helps children build meaningful skills and reduce behaviors that get in the way of learning and daily life. At New Roots, your child receives a fully individualized program built around their specific strengths and goals โ with Amanda present every day to guide sessions and adjust treatment in real time.

process
We take the complexity out of starting therapy. We personally walk every family through each step.
Ready to take the first step?
Give us a call and we'll walk you through exactly what you need to get started. No pressure, no jargon.
Get in TouchReach Out
Call or email us. Amanda will personally walk you through the three documents you need to get started: your child's diagnostic letter, insurance card, and ABA script from your doctor.
Insurance Authorization
We contact your insurance on your behalf to request initial assessment hours. Most families receive authorization within 3 to 4 weeks from first contact. You won't have to navigate this alone.
Assessment and Interview
Amanda conducts a parent interview and individualized assessment using tools like the VB-MAPP or Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales. Your child's strengths guide every goal we set together.
Treatment Plan and Start Date
Amanda writes your child's individualized treatment plan and submits it for insurance approval. Once approved, we schedule a start date. You will understand every goal before the first session.
